DINO-1 GRAND PRIX: INTERACTIVE ILLUSTRATION & STORY-DRIVEN PROMOTION
INTRO & CONCEPT
This project began with a single "Spot the Difference" (hidden object) illustration created for a group exhibition themed around dinosaurs. To make the exhibition experience more immersive, I expanded the world of the "DINO-1 Grand Prix"—a high-speed dinosaur race—into a multi-layered backstory.
Beyond the main race artwork, I designed a promotional booklet (A4 bi-fold portfolio) featuring the pre-race pit stop on the front cover and the rider heading out to the track on the back cover. By connecting the artwork to a chronological storyline, the illustrations come alive as a complete narrative.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS: SKETCHES & CONCEPT ART
A look behind the scenes at how the illustrations were developed. Each piece went through several stages of rough sketches to refine the composition, build the details of the sci-fi environment, and carefully plant the hidden elements for the interactive puzzles.

EXHIBITION & ENGAGEMENT: ART MEETS EXPERIENCE
For the physical exhibition, I didn't just display the prints; I created a fully interactive experience for the visitors to keep them engaged at the booth.
THE EXTRA CHALLENGE
I embedded an additional game where visitors had to find 3 hidden differences between the large display panel on the shelf (the pit stop scene) and the front cover of the booklet they held in their hands. This approach encouraged visitors to slow down, look closely at the details, and take the portfolio home.

Along with the portfolio, I created custom postcards, acrylic stands, and pin badges to further bring "TEAM T.REX" into the real world.
